The inaugural StourJam took place on 5th – 7th June 2026 across Stourport on Severn in sixteen venues from pubs and clubs to the Civic Theatre. This was the brainchild of Stourport’s Chloe Mogg & James Rudge who first had the idea in COVID lockdown and it took five years to bring it to fruition.

The event was a charity music festival raising money for three charities; Dementia UK, Canal & River Trust & Worcestershire Acute Hospitals. The event was sponsored by BOA Brewing Company, Concept Furniture International Ltd, JMG Insurance Brokers, The Black Star and Worcester Road Motors.

The event kicked off at 17:59 in The Hollybush pub with DJ Stretch introducing the founder Chloe Mogg (acoustic guitar & vocals) & Si George (Cajun). She kicked off with the appropriate song ‘The Crazy One’ which was the title track off her first album. Her set also included a track from The Commitments movie ‘Chain of Fools’ a new song ‘The Author’, ‘Me & Bobby McGhee’ and finished with KT Tunstall’s ‘Black Horse & a Cheery Tree (a local song for The Hollybush) and a mashup of The Bangles ‘Walk Like an Egyptian’.

Throughout the three-day festival Chloe, James and the team had arranged for over 340 acts to perform in the 15 venues. The acts were from all genres from Folk, thru blues to rock, punk and heavy metal.

The Friday evening included acts such as Metropolitan Nash at the Black Star, The Deadshots at The Swan, Trevor Babajack Steger at Severn’s Club (Trevor is the Director of Music at Upton Blues Festival Acoustic stage), James Baker at The Port House, Sam Goodwin-Shemmell at Stourport Yacht Club, Nothin’ But Dust at Fedoras and Jack n Doris at The Old Beams.

At the Civic Theatre the packed hall was entertained by Valentyne, the electronica sound of White Noise Cinema, the Battle of the Bands winner LOSA with their youthful looks demonstrating their brilliant sound were Deep Purple's 'Highway Star' a new track 'Desire' and finished with Black Sabbath's 'Gathered in Their Masses', the founder Chloe Mogg this time with her band playing a few songs from her first album including ‘The Crazy One’ as well as several new ones which will come out on her 2nd album due for release Spring 2027. This included the aptly titled ‘Pay Me’. The night was concluded with The Good Water with their psychedelic fuzz sound.

On Saturday the festival had the added benefit of having RawSound TV onsite filming live performances for their independent music channel. Also, at The Stagborough Arms on Saturday a rock great dropped by with Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin enjoying the music and talking with the volunteers Karen & Dave Rees (better known as musical duo Jack n Doris), who were grateful he made the effort to attend a festival local to him.

Standouts on the Saturday were Bewdley duo Crimson Flame at The Old Beams with a mix of original songs from their first album and covers from Jimi Hendrix amongst others. At The Civic Theatre we had a wide range of genres on offer featuring Heavy Peace with their very heavy sludge grunge sound, Genevieve Miles with her great vocals and witchy alt rock sound, Rare Breed with their southern rock meets Blues and MeMe Detroit with her punk inspired alt rock sound including ‘Mean Rock n Roller’.

Sunday was another full day with great artists performing around Stourport with a shout out to Cheltenham’s Saint Senara with their gothic blues rock sound at The Black Star.
